Yacht Femme, originally launched as Yacht Dame, was founded in 2018 by Andrea Tagliaferro. The idea was born just a week after Andrea attended the Monaco Yacht Show, where the energy of the event and the inspiring people she met motivated her to take action. What started as a social media channel focused on empowering women in the yachting industry has since grown into a comprehensive platform. Today, Yacht Femme features a website, a podcast, and both online and in-person events, all designed to help women in the industry grow, connect, and gain professional recognition.

Yacht Femme was created by Andrea Tagliaferro from a personal need to connect with professional, ambitious, and inspiring women in the yachting industry. Early in her career, Andrea felt a sense of loneliness, as she struggled to find a community of women who shared her drive and vision. Rather than focusing on the challenges, she channeled this experience into creating Yacht Femme—a platform to bring like-minded women together for networking, support, and growth. Through this community, Andrea has found strength and connection, and now shares that with others.

In 2019, a year after launching Yacht Femme, Andrea was interviewed on Yachting International Radio. During the podcast interview, they suggested that Andrea create her own podcast to grow the women's platform and expand its reach.

At the time, Andrea was working at VaynerMedia and had experience in podcast production. She quickly developed the brand and show format, began interviewing women, and produced episodes in her spare time. Since then, we have highlighted women from various sectors, including shipbuilding, marketing, sales, and more.
