Altea Llakmani is building a global yachting brokerage by combining financial rigor, people-first leadership, and a clear vision for purposeful growth. As CEO and Co-Founder of FGI Yacht Group, she has transformed a bold idea launched during the height of the pandemic into one of the fastest-growing boutique brokerages in the industry, without compromising integrity, agility, or client trust.

Founded in 2020 alongside Frank Grzeszczak Sr., FGI Yacht Group was born in uncertainty. Altea moved to the United States just as lockdowns were announced, entering a new industry while simultaneously building a company from the ground up. From incorporation and branding to systems, team-building, and client strategy, she played a central role in shaping every aspect of the business. Today, FGI operates with a global footprint, a team of 25 professionals, and a reputation for delivering tailored, relationship-driven service.

Before yachting, Altea spent seven years in Monaco with Deloitte, leading audit teams and advising high-profile international clients. That experience sharpened her analytical mindset and gave her a deep understanding of governance, structure, and long-term value creation—skills she now applies to scaling FGI with intention. Her transition into yachting was driven by a genuine passion for the lifestyle, the international nature of the industry, and the opportunity to build something of her own.

Altea’s leadership style centers on culture as much as performance. She believes that empowered teams build stronger businesses, and she has intentionally fostered an environment where collaboration, accountability, and growth are shared values. Multilingual and internationally minded, she brings a global perspective to FGI’s expansion strategy, which includes entering key markets, opening new offices, and investing in infrastructure that supports sustainable, long-term success.

Outside the office, Altea divides her time between Fort Lauderdale and Vail. She enjoys traveling, dancing, biking, and dreaming of an eventual charter to Antarctica—drawn by its remoteness, raw beauty, and sense of adventure, much like the journey she has taken in her career.
