Barrett Wright is the President of Hill Robinson USA, a leading global yacht management company. Based in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Barrett oversees fleet management, operations, client service, crew services, and business development, while also actively participating in industry associations. Originally from Cleveland, Ohio, she brings a unique blend of leadership, operational insight, and deep passion for the yachting world to her role.

Her path into yachting was unconventional: after being let go from her first post-college job, a friend helped her land a summer position as a chef aboard a 125' classic schooner. With culinary skills passed down from her mother and a willingness to learn, Barrett discovered her love for the sea. What started as a temporary role quickly evolved into a lifelong career. Over the years, she transitioned ashore, working with yacht designer Ted Fontaine in Newport, RI, before joining Hill Robinson in 2011 as a Yacht Accountant. Her role quickly expanded into yacht operations, and in 2015, she was promoted to President of Hill Robinson USA.

Barrett holds a Bachelor of Science in Urban History from the University of Pennsylvania and speaks English and basic French. Her experience spans nearly every aspect of yacht ownership—from budgeting and compliance to crew management and operational logistics—making her a trusted advisor for yacht owners navigating complex waters.

Among her proudest career moments is the 2025 Palm Beach International Boat Show, where Hill Robinson represented the three largest yachts on display. It was a logistically demanding show, but the success and seamless presentation underscored the strong collaboration between owners, managers, and crew—something Barrett sees as essential to true yacht management.

Beyond Hill Robinson, Barrett is highly engaged in advancing the industry. She co-chairs the Education Committee at the International Superyacht Society (ISS), where she curates content for the ISS Leadership Series and Risk Mitigation sessions. She is also working toward her yacht broker certification to broaden her expertise in yacht transactions and deal negotiations. Additionally, she’s passionate about “outside-the-box” thinking, developing new ways to connect with clients and enhance service delivery across the fleet.

Barrett’s work is fueled by a genuine love for the industry. “There are great days, good days, and bad days,” she says, “but my passion for my clients and the dynamics of this industry remind me daily how very lucky I am to do what I do.”

She’s also a regular panelist at MARE Forums, contributing her voice to important conversations across the global yachting community. Known for her collaborative spirit and strategic mindset, Barrett continues to help shape the future of yacht management while advocating for stronger relationships and deeper understanding across the sector.
