Originally from Australia, Lou grew up immersed in life on the water, spending her childhood sailing, surfing, and swimming. Her early fascination with the sea evolved into a lifelong career after discovering Yachting Magazine, which sparked her ambition to enter the industry professionally.


Before yachting, she built a career in sales, tourism, and destination marketing, developing a strong foundation in client service and global travel. A defining life transition led her to France, where she stepped aboard a sailing yacht and began what would become a 15-year career at sea. During that time, she crossed the Atlantic multiple times, logged thousands of sea miles, earned her captain’s license, and completed engineering qualifications while working across a range of vessels.


Known for her approachable style, global perspective, and practical expertise, Lou combines real offshore experience with strong commercial instincts. She continues to grow her work across charter brokerage and business development, helping clients and partners navigate the yachting world with clarity, confidence, and a sense of ease.
