Candice Christiansen is the Co-Founder of Charter Itinerary, a platform providing the ultimate luxury charter planning solution for yachting professionals. Based in Monaco and fluent in English and French, Candice’s journey into yachting began in 2007 when she moved to the South of France expecting a career in hospitality or property management. By chance, she took a summer role as a broker’s assistant at Ocean Independence, which led to a decade in yacht management, working with some of the world’s most high-profile yachts.
Seeing a gap in technology for brokers and captains to provide clients with the tools and documents they needed, Candice co-founded Charter Itinerary. The company launched in July 2021 and has since grown from three to seventeen full-time staff across Europe. Today, it is used by over 70% of yacht brokerage houses worldwide. Candice is currently developing a major new feature expected to be a game changer for the industry.
Looking back, she wishes she had known about the possibility of working as crew on a yacht, a path she hadn’t considered before entering the industry. Her experience highlights the value of staying open to unexpected opportunities and exploring all facets of yachting. Candice continues to focus on expanding Charter Itinerary’s capabilities and empowering brokers, captains, and clients with innovative, practical solutions.
