Janet Xanthopoulos is a leading voice in the global luxury advisory space, renowned for her deep expertise across yachting, aviation, real estate, and asset structuring. With more than two decades of experience, she delivers strategic, end-to-end solutions to UHNWIs, family offices, and luxury brands worldwide—combining legal precision, cross-sector insight, and an unwavering eye for detail.
Born in Paris, raised between Greece and Monaco, and educated in France, Janet speaks five languages and brings a distinctly international perspective to everything she does. She holds two Master’s degrees in International & European Law and Shipping & Transportation Law, along with certifications in VAT, taxation, and real estate—credentials that anchor her holistic and highly specialized approach.
Her entry into the yachting world was serendipitous: a chance conversation in 2001 led her to Luxembourg, then the epicenter of yacht ownership structuring. What began as a bold pivot soon became a defining path. Janet quickly rose to become a key architect of modern yacht ownership—and one of the rare women shaping the sector from within.
As Director of Rosemont Yacht Services, Janet leads high-level yacht and aviation advisory with a focus on ownership structuration, finance, registration, tax efficiency, and regulatory compliance. Through Calista Consulting and Calista Real Estate, she extends her expertise into international real estate investment, luxury asset acquisition, and market expansion strategy—especially in strategic hubs such as Monaco, Southern Europe, Asia and the UAE.
Among her pioneering contributions is the development of the Yacht Engaged in Trade (YET) program —a landmark legal innovation allowing dual-use yachts to operate commercially in the Mediterranean. She played a central role in the creation of the program and its adoption by major flag states including the Marshall Islands, Cayman Islands, Bermuda, the BVI, and the Isle of Man, drafting foundational shipping notices that continue to influence the sector.
Janet is also trusted figure in key industry bodies including ECPY, the Monaco Yachting Cluster, and IYBA. She serves as an Ambassador for Monaco Capital of Advanced Yachting and a Yacht Arbitrator for the International Yacht Arbitration Council (IYAC). As a sought-after speaker at leading conferences in Europe, the U.S., and Asia, she is widely regarded as an authority on VAT, ownership structuring, and international compliance. Her insights have been featured in flagship publications such as The Superyacht Industry Book and The Law of Yachting.
Janet’s career has always been guided by integrity, loyalty, and a deep commitment to mentorship. She leads with clarity and surrounds herself with a trusted team—some by her side for over 20 years—demonstrating that consistency and collaboration are the foundation of lasting impact.
With sharp legal insight, commercial instinct, and a global perspective, Janet is redefining how UHNWIs and family offices approach yacht and luxury asset ownership. Her mission is clear: to deliver intelligent, enduring solutions—while guiding the next generation, including her daughter, with strength, compassion, and purpose.
