Born in Dorset, UK, and now based in Liguria, Jessima is fluent in English and Italian, bridging international clients and teams with ease.

Jessima began her professional journey in science, earning both a degree and Master’s in Chemistryfrom Oxford University, where her research was published in respected scientific journals. Twelve years ago, a unique opportunity brought her into the world of yachting: while working in news media, she was invited to take on a marketing role at Amico & Co. Being married to a yacht captain gave her an insider’s perspective, helping her transition seamlessly into this complex industry.

At Amico & Co, Jessima has evolved from marketing and communications into her current role as Client Relationship Manager, representing the shipyard internationally and collaborating withsome of its most ambitious refit projects. Among her most meaningful achievements was working with the client relationship team managing a major 90-meter-plus yacht conversion for an elderly client. The challenge was both technical and emotional: delivering a bespoke conversion of a high-quality pre-owned vessel under tight deadlines, allowing the owner to enjoy precious years at sea. For Jessima, projects like this highlight the human side of yachting—how every month gained on a project represents memories made on the water.

Beyond individual projects, Jessima has played a focalrole in the team in driving an eight-fold increase in Amico & Co’s commercial conversion rate, promoting a shift toward intelligence- and data-driven processes across technical and sales teams. Together with the technical and sales team, she has worked with large-scale yacht rebuilds, organized high-profile launch events, and curated comprehensive visual documentation of vessels, all while representing Amico & Co’s brand globally.

Jessima’s passion extends to nurturing the next generation of yachting professionals. She is actively working with HR to bring more young talent into the yacht refit industry, ensuring the continuation of expertise and excellence in this highly specialized field.

On a personal note, Jessima takes pride in balancing her demanding international career with family life. She is married with two daughters and credits her enduring professional satisfaction to the strong relationships she has cultivated within the yachting community—relationships she describes as “a home away from home” for industry professionals.
