Currently based in Ormond Beach, Florida, Julie works at Robert Allen Law, where she works as the senior maritime paralegal and manages a team of yacht lawyers handling international yacht transactions and complex marine lending transactions, including yacht construction loans. With offices in Palm Beach and Miami, Julie’s reach and impact span across jurisdictions and clients worldwide.

Julie’s career began in 1989 at Holland & Knight, one of the largest law firms in the U.S., where she entered the Marine, Aviation, and International Litigation Department through a temporary agency placement. It was there she found her footing in the yachting industry, at a time when there were very few women in the space—just one or two female yacht brokers in Florida and only a single female maritime attorney. Julie was fortunate to be mentored by that trailblazing attorney who taught her the power of professionalism, resilience, and maintaining grace in a male-dominated industry.

After 26 years at Holland & Knight, Julie made the intentional decision to transition to a more balanced lifestyle, moving to boutique maritime law firms including Alley, Maass, Rogers & Lindsay before finding her professional home at Robert Allen Law. She has now been with the firm for over seven years, assisting a team of lawyers and guiding clients through intricate international yacht transactions with a focus ongetting each deal concluded properly, utilizing ethics, collaboration, and excellence.

Julie is passionate about uplifting other women in the industry and believes firmly in the power of women supporting women. She continues to mentor, lead by example, and promote teamwork as the foundation for both personal and professional success. As she looks ahead, Julie is excited to return to the international yacht show circuit, reconnect with industry peers, and contribute to a more inclusive and dynamic future in yachting.
