As General Manager of Las Olas Marina, McLayne Sisk operates at the intersection of superyacht logistics, hospitality, and complex asset management. She leads the full operation of one of Fort Lauderdale’s most advanced marinas, overseeing an 88-slip facility accommodating vessels up to 315 feet, alongside a newly developed, multi-level marina building with upland tenants, crew amenities, private event spaces, and upcoming waterfront dining. Her role demands precision, resilience, and an ability to deliver seamless experiences in a high-expectation, fast-moving environment.
McLayne’s leadership extends far beyond traditional marina management. She is responsible for upland property operations, commercial leasing, tenant relations, vessel coordination, hurricane preparedness, and the end-to-end experience for owners, captains, crew, and guests. Every decision impacts a tightly connected ecosystem where timing, service, and operational excellence must align perfectly. Her approach blends hands-on operational expertise with strategic foresight, ensuring the marina functions not only efficiently, but at a level that meets the demands of the global superyacht market.
Her journey into yachting began at just 18 years old with a front office role at Bahia Mar Marina. Drawn to the pace, complexity, and intensity of the industry, McLayne embraced every opportunity to learn, quickly recognizing marina operations as a long-term career path. While her early academic interests were in physics and mechanical engineering, she chose to build her education through experience, leadership, and continuous professional growth within the industry.
One of the most defining milestones of her career was opening Las Olas Marina as General Manager. Having supported the property during its 2021 transition and shutdown for redevelopment in 2022, McLayne returned years later to lead its reopening. During the redevelopment phase, she remained deeply involved behind the scenes, collaborating with developers and contractors to shape the marina’s layout and functionality with real-world superyacht operations in mind. Opening day represented a full-circle moment, marking her transition from contributor to leader of one of the industry’s most high-profile marina projects.
Today, McLayne is focused on positioning Las Olas Marina as a clean, resilient, and future-forward destination within Fort Lauderdale. She is actively pursuing Certified Marina Manager (CMM) and Certified Marina Operator (CMO) certifications while working to strengthen industry partnerships, enhance tenant and guest experiences, and align operations with the evolving rhythms of superyacht travel. Her vision is to build not just a marina, but a thriving ecosystem that anticipates challenges, embraces innovation, and attracts the world’s most discerning vessels.
Recognized early for her leadership, McLayne became the youngest general manager in her company by age 22. Her work at Seahaven Superyacht Marina transformed a non-flagship property into one of Suntex’s top-performing and most profitable marinas, earning her the DockWalk Young Leader Award and a nomination for General Manager of the Year in 2023. With a track record spanning shutdowns, startups, and large-scale reopenings, she continues to shape the future of marina management through operational excellence, intentional leadership, and a commitment to elevating the industry as a whole.
