As CEO of Dockside Management, IMM (International Marine Management), and FKG Marine, I lead the three companies with responsibility for their overall performance, growth, and development. My role is to position each organization for long-term success in a way that aligns with our shared vision and values—while continuing to provide exceptional service to our clients.

I spend the vast majority of my time in the Caribbean, primarily between San Juan, Puerto Rico, and Sint Maarten—when I'm not traveling for boat shows or business matters!

It all started with a chance meeting. At the time, I was working as a lawyer and in Puerto Rico for a trial when I met Fabrice Maitre in a bar—one of those unexpected encounters that changed everything. That meeting eventually led me to leave my legal career behind and co-found IMM with Fabrice. From there, the journey expanded to include FKG Marine and Dockside

Management as part of our growing network. I quickly fell in love with the energy, complexity, and camaraderie of the yachting industry. As partners in both business and life, Fabrice and I have built a group that proudly supports some of the world’s largest vessels—with regional strength, local know-how, and a truly committed team.

Our companies have experienced significant growth in recent years, and my current focus is on integration. We're working to strengthen our core functions so they can serve all of our operating entities efficiently. At the same time, I remain deeply focused on delivering excellent service—whether it’s on the technical side with IMM and FKG or on the agency side with Dockside Management. My goal is to continue excelling, integrating, and raising our profile within the industry because I believe we are offering solutions that truly support many complex programs.

Right now, my most meaningful milestones are internal. I’m focused on building the internal ecosystem that will support our continued growth while mentoring and empowering our senior leadership team. Externally, a major milestone is the development of Gravity Refit in San Juan, which we believe will be a game-changer for the refit market in the U.S. and Caribbean.

Looking back, I’m genuinely glad my path unfolded the way it did. Coming into this industry as an outsider allowed me to learn organically—and that unique perspective has shaped how we’ve chosen to grow our companies. I think that covers it!

Norina Edelman is the CEO of Dockside Management, IMM (International Marine Management), and FKG Marine. A Harvard Law School graduate and former lawyer, she transitioned into the yachting industry in 2009 and now oversees strategic growth and operations across three leading service companies throughout the Caribbean.

Known for her clarity, resilience, and collaborative leadership style, Norina is passionate about growing regional infrastructure, coaching others, and supporting the next generation of marine industry professionals. Under her leadership, IMM, Dockside, and FKG have become trusted names in superyacht refit, agency, and technical services across Sint Maarten, Guadeloupe, St. Barths, Puerto Rico, and beyond.
