With over 33 years of international experience in yacht marketing, Sylke auf dem Graben has become one of the most respected figures in the luxury yachting industry. Since 2003, she has served as PR & Marketing Manager at Fr. Lürssen Werft GmbH & Co. KG, the Bremen-based shipyard renowned worldwide for building some of the largest and most luxurious yachts.
Sylke began her journey in the advertising world, training at TEAM/BBDO in Düsseldorf, before moving on to work with Jongert and dahm international, where she spent over a decade building her expertise in yacht PR and marketing. Her career took a pivotal turn when she joined Lürssen, where she was tasked with establishing the company’s marketing department from the ground up. Today, she primarily focuses on PR, boat shows, events, and select special projects.
Over the years, Sylke has been instrumental in creating memorable yachting experiences. From orchestrating industry-leading parties at the Fort Lauderdale Boat Show, hosting exclusive gatherings at the Monaco Yacht Show, to conceptualizing Lürssen Live — a live talk show with Peter Lürssen during the pandemic — her innovative approach to marketing has consistently set new benchmarks in the industry.
Currently, Sylke is leading her most ambitious project yet: a Fine Art Coffee Table Book celebrating Lürssen’s 150th anniversary. Over the course of nearly a year, a photographer captured 36 yachts across the globe, creating a stunning collection of images that, according to Sylke, is unlike anything the industry has seen before. “To be different, you have to go the extra mile,” she notes, reflecting her philosophy of pushing creative boundaries.
Despite her professional intensity, Sylke finds joy in simpler pleasures. Since 2020, she has been raising 10–20 chickens at home — a hobby that not only provides fresh eggs but also immense daily joy.

Whether it’s crafting unforgettable events or innovating marketing strategies, she continues to shape how the yachting world connects with clients and enthusiasts worldwide.
