leonora Pitasso, Founder & CEO of The Wayve, is a trailblazer in the superyacht industry, with more than 20 years of experience spanning brokerage, shipyard expertise, and new-build projects. Formerly a leading sales broker at Burgess, she now provides consultancy services, guiding complex yacht transactions and supporting clients on both B2B and B2C levels while shaping the future of yachting.
Originally from Friuli, Italy, where the borders of Austria and Slovenia meet, Eleonora speaks eight languages—English, Italian, French, Spanish, German, Dutch, and Russian—reflecting her deeply international approach. Her academic background includes a Double Master’s Degree with Honors in International Affairs and Diplomacy, focusing on Geostrategy, completed across Trieste, Nice, and Berlin. She is currently pursuing an MBA at EDHEC Business School (2025–2027), further strengthening her global business expertise.
Her entry into yachting was serendipitous. In 2005, after stepping away from a potential PhD in Geostrategy, she relocated to the South of France and responded to a brokerage job ad in an English newspaper. Quickly hired by a boutique Monaco firm, Eleonora gained hands-on experience in sales, charter, project management, and client relations. She later advanced to Fraser Yachts as Charter Manager, then Chief Commercial Officer for Europe and Russia at Sea Vision, where she developed deep technical knowledge of new builds and cultivated enduring shipyard relationships.
Since her time at Burgess, Eleonora has overseen complex new-build and brokerage projects, particularly for yachts over 70 metres. She became the first female Sales Broker appointed in one of Europe’s brokerage powerhouses, completing over 30 yacht transactions above 24 metres and contributing to more than 240 yacht supply projects over 28 metres in just three years. Today, her consultancy and leadership roles extend across the industry, emphasizing both technical excellence and sustainability.
A passionate community builder, Eleonora actively participates in networks like MYBA, IYBA, and the Monaco Yachting Cluster, holding board positions and advocating for sustainable practices aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals. With a sharp geopolitical mindset, commercial acumen, and a multicultural outlook, she continues to guide transformative initiatives and inspire the next generation of superyacht professionals.
