Gabriella Cramer is the President and Founder of GC MARITIME Consulting & Training, LLC, a Fort Lauderdale–based firm dedicated to advancing onboard safety and regulatory compliance within the maritime industry. Through tailored consulting and crew training, she supports yacht crews, management teams, and owners in meeting the standards of ISM, ISPS, and MLC codes with confidence and competence.
Gabriella’s journey into yachting began in 2011 in a moment of serendipity—while working as a server at the Hilton Fort Lauderdale Marina, she unknowingly served the captain and owner of Mr. Terrible (now Usher). That pivotal encounter led to her first onboard experience at FLIBS 2011, and she’s never looked back. Since then, she has cultivated over a decade of hands-on experience that now fuels her consultancy.
Today, Gabriella focuses on closing compliance gaps, raising safety awareness, and empowering industry stakeholders to take proactive rather than reactive measures. Her work extends beyond crew training—she is actively developing initiatives to support charter permit applications, sales MOAs, and overall compliance literacy for brokers and managers on the commercial side of yachting.
Conversational in Spanish and Dutch, Gabriella brings a multicultural lens and an unshakable belief in growth through experience. She’s currently working toward a goal of serving five major clients by the end of 2025 and is exploring ways to streamline operations through automation.
Gabriella believes that every entry into the yachting industry is unique—and that the challenges faced along the way shape not only the individual but the future of the industry itself. Through GC MARITIME, she continues to champion resilience, education, and practical excellence—one client at a time.
"This industry is for everyone—if you're willing to work hard, know when to keep your head down, yet make and leave an impact in key moments, shine in your passion(s), and stay humble enough to learn from those around you, both new and experienced.
If anyone wants to learn more, needs guidance, or is curious about safety, security, crew welfare, employment, or other operational compliance matters—talk to me. I'm happy to help!" — Gabriella Cramer
